ADHD testing and treatment for kids and adults

ADHD isn't a matter of trying harder. It's a difference in how the brain handles attention, planning, and impulse control — and it looks different at seven than it does at thirty-seven. We evaluate carefully before we treat, because the point is an answer you can act on, not a label.

What people describe

Does any of this sound familiar?

These are experiences people often bring to a first appointment. They aren't a checklist and they can't diagnose anyone — only an evaluation with a clinician can do that.

  • Losing the thread of tasks, conversations, or instructions partway through
  • Starting more than you finish, and a growing pile of half-done things
  • Restlessness, fidgeting, or a sense of being driven by a motor
  • Time slipping away — chronic lateness, deadlines that arrive without warning
  • Impulsive decisions or interruptions you notice only afterward
  • Difficulty organizing work, school, or home life that others seem to manage

How we treat it

What care for ADHD looks like here

A real evaluation first

ADHD testing looks at history, current functioning, and the other things that can resemble ADHD — sleep, anxiety, mood, and life circumstances among them. We rule those in or out rather than assuming.

Treatment built around your day

Depending on what the evaluation shows, a plan may include medication, therapy aimed at executive function and routine, or both. We adjust as we learn how you respond.

Care for the whole family

We assess and treat children, adolescents, and adults, and we work with parents on the school and home side when a child is the patient.
